Audition for Audacious

Gender, Fucked!

A Binary-Busting Night of Performance

~~~~~
Audacious Theatre in collaboration with Kai Monahan and Hannah Elizabeth and the Wit are working to create a focused evening of stories, experiences, art, poetry, power ballads, information, truth, etc. from the Transgender, Nonbinary, Gender-nonconforming, Intersex, Genderqueer, Two-Spirit and otherwise non-cisgender identifying community. Gender, Fucked! Is a Queer Variety show made to provide a dedicated place and time for non-cis folx during Denver Pride. We would like to continue an ongoing conversation about the realities, stories, social injustices, joys, and hardships in taking our lives into our own hands and forging a new path in our society for people who exist outside of cis-normative culture. Specifically, we aim to give voice to the individuals living and/or identifying as Trans, Nonbinary, Gender-nonconforming, Intersex, Two-Spirit, and/or Genderqueer. We are looking for creative submissions exploring gender through any lens.
Original works under 10 minutes.
  • Songs
  • Poetry
If you have an idea for something that is not listed, bring it, do it!. It’s probably amazing! (Almost) anything goes! Last year two of our performers injected themselves with their medical dose of Testosterone and it was a huge hit!
  • In addition to stage performances we will be accepting other fixed art pieces to be on display at each show.
